Trauma-Informed Yoga & Mindfulness
Healing Through Compassion, Movement, and Awareness
What is Trauma-Informed Yoga and Mindfulness?
Trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness are specialized practices that foster safe and supportive environments for all, particularly those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, or chronic stress. These sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant, offering adaptive instructions that prioritize personal choice and self-compassion. Focusing on the connection between mind and body can help survivors reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and chronic stress, while promoting holistic well-being.
Why is Trauma-Informed Yoga Beneficial?
For those living with PTSD, anxiety, chronic illnesses, or for caregivers, trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness provide a gentle approach to healing. These practices help calm the nervous system, increase body awareness, and foster a sense of empowerment. Guided movements, breathwork, and meditation enable participants to reconnect with their bodies in ways that feel safe and nurturing, building capacity for strength and healing.
